File No.-2166/18/17/2013 1. Treshant Meher & Prasant Meher have filed one murder case on the death of their father Sri. Late Lalit Meher aged about 60 years, in Veden Police Station, Bargarh bearing P.S Case No -77/2013, on Dtd � 20/08/2013. Due to inaction of police to arrest the accused both the son went to meet the Collector on grievance day Dtd � 02/09/2013, At � Veden Block Conference Hall & put forth their said grievance before the Collector & Superintendent of Police, Bargarh, but the S.P, abused them with vulgar language & instructed the bodyguards to keep them out where the bodyguards obediently beaten both the brothers brutally, kicked them severely by their shoes in front of the Collector & other persons.

These proceedings shall be read in continuation of the earlier proceedings of the Commission dated 24.02.2014, vide which a copy of the report dated 14.11.2013 submitted by the DIG of Police, NR, Sambalpur, was directed to be sent to the victim Teshanta Meher seeking his comments. In the meantime, the SSP, Sambalpur, was directed to submit the current status report / final outcome of investigation of case Crime No. 77/13. Pursuant to the directions of the Commission, the SP, Bargarh, has submitted his report dated 20.05.2014, in which it is stated that a chargesheet No. 119 has been submitted against the accused persons Paresh Mallik, Buthi, Jhantu and Smruti Ranjan Das. No comments have been received from the victim. The complainant Ms. Sangita Swain has submitted her comments, in which it is stated that the victim has been influenced / pressurized by the police, which cannot change the truth. The Commission has perused and considered the report and comments of the complainant. Notice was to the victim, but he has not submitted any comments in the matter. It is presumed that he does not want to say anything in the matter. As per the report of the SP chargesheet has been filed in the matter. The matter is sub-judice. Hence, no further intervention of the Commission in the matter is required and the case is closed...
